Nicolas Gourault

Nicolas Gourault is a visual artist and independent researcher based in Paris. Having completed a masters thesis at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales on the visual language of Forensic Architecture, he is currently enrolled at Le Fresnoy, Studio national des arts contemporains. He worked at Forensic Architecture in 2017, investigating cases of unlawful detention and torture in Northern Cameroon, and in 2019, on the online platform Conquer and Divide. He has written a critical review of Forensic Architecture’s work in the French journal Inframince, vol.12, 2019.
