Drift-backs in the Aegean Sea at the 8th Çannakale Biennial

Forensic Architecture is showing Drift-backs in the Aegean, both the film and the investigation, for the first time at the 8th Çannakale Biennale in Turkey.

The 8th Çanakkale Biennial, entitled “How do we work together?”, will meet take place in different venues in Çanakkale between October 1 and November 5, 2022, and focus on experiences of community and togetherness.

Artists and art initiatives from Turkey and around the world are invited to explore the connections of the complex relationships between all living and non-living structures, through questions like “How can we produce together?”, “How do we live together?”, and “How do we work together?”. The 8th Çanakkale Biennial will suggest looking at different forms and methods, as well as paradoxes, impossibilities, singular chances, and probabilities of dreaming together, living alone in crowds, meeting around a table, and acting as a part of nature, while crossing different concepts such as hospitality, friendship, cooperation, labour, responsibility, justice, forgiveness, memory, mourning, joy…
