Peter Polack is a research-based designer who produces graphical and interactive digital media. His research and artwork has addressed political imaginaries, theories and social practices that people use to make sense of algorithmic media, with a focus on grassroots organizing against their impact in law enforcement. He received a PhD in Information Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where his dissertation examined the political significance of algorithmic media that arrange perceptions. He holds an MS in Computer Science and a BS in Computational Media from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
