Madeleine is a designer, queer storyteller, and researcher who studied at the Architectural Association where she received her RIBA Part II in 2023. She has previously worked as a Part 1 Architectural Assistant in London.
Her design thesis developed and spatialised a methodology of queer futurity that allows spaces to continually transform. The methodology created opportunities for the redefinition of familiar surroundings and queer identities with the aim of helping queer women of colour form found families within a society that is able to embrace contradiction and ambiguity. Her project centred queer identities and their relationships to belonging, blending interview testimonies and fictional narratives to construct a speculative fabulation in film.
