Tom James

Researcher

Tom’s work at Forensic Architecture focuses on digital modelling and animation, synthesising data from many sources into interrogatable models and interfaces, and designing and implementing new tools and workflows.

Tom completed his RIBA Parts I and II at The Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL. His postgraduate research focused on time-based media, memory, and monumentality, using film itself as a site of architectural investigation.

Prior to his architectural studies, he graduated from Imperial College London with a BSc in Mathematics.

Before joining Forensic Architecture, Tom worked in London architectural practices and as a freelance photographer.
