Like the rest of the world, FA is currently facing significant organisational and conceptual challenges in the Covid-19 crisis. Whether concerning migrants and refugees, Palestinians under occupation, or the rest of us under threat of increased surveillance, the pandemic intersects with existing patterns of state violence, aggravating human rights issues and necessitating a change of focus in our investigations.
Like many others, we are locked at home, with our team now dispersed across London and well beyond. Indeed, several of our team members have been directly affected by the disease.
However, with some pre-planning and organisation, and with increased frequency of remote communication, we have mitigated the loss of opportunity to travel to meet the communities with whom we work, and who are currently at increased risk, and for the loss of the convivial collectivity that typified our way of work, and have as such continued to work with our partners and stakeholders on both new and continuous investigations.
So please, rest assured that Forensic Architecture is still in practice! And we remain contactable through all the usual channels.
