KØS: Museum of Art in Public Spaces, Køge, Denmark

In our globalised present-day world, people travel like never before. But they do so for very different reasons and on completely different terms. Many visit remote destinations for holidays, regularly commute to work, and often visit friends and family in other countries. At the same time migration is on the rise, and Europe is currently seeing the largest influx of refugees in recent history.

With the exhibition project TRANSIT, KØS Museum of Art in Public Spaces will focus attention on travellers’ different experiences, terms and conditions in our present-day world of mobility, migration and globalization.

As part of the exhibition, Forensic Oceanography will be presenting the video Liquid Traces, tracing the deadly drift of a migrants’ boat in the Central Mediterranean.

Visit the KØS website for more information.
